Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate order entry and verification to ensure medication safety for all patients
• Check and dispense medications with meticulous attention to detail
• Provide clinical pharmacy services across inpatient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Rotate into ambulatory roles when assigned, such as anticoagulation clinic or oncology services
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — nurses, providers, technicians — to optimize medication therapy
• Follow and apply state and federal pharmacy laws and facility policies to maintain compliance
• Communicate effectively with patients and care teams to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy, or eligible for reciprocation in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Recent hospital experience preferred and highly valued
• Pharmacy residency preferred if rotating to ambulatory or specialty clinics
• Advanced practice certifications preferred for specialized ambulatory roles
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for anticoagulation clinic rotations; must renew every two years
• Strong interpersonal and interdisciplinary communication skills

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication safety best practices and error prevention
• Inpatient pharmacy operations, order verification and dispensing
• Clinical pharmacy knowledge across diverse patient populations
• Familiarity with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Experience in ambulatory services such as anticoagulation and oncology clinics (preferred)
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, nurses, providers and pharmacy leadership
