Location: Sacramento, CA

Start Date: 05-08-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts, schedule to be determined (PCT); orientation included

Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance
Monitor and record vital signs accurately and promptly
Assist nursing staff with procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate changes in patient condition
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, empathetic interaction

Qualifications

CNA or PCT certification preferred; current state-required certification encouraged
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient transfers
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; CNA/PCT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Basic charting and familiarity with electronic or paper patient records
Strong observational skills and ability to report changes to nursing staff
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with older adults
