Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' functional abilities and home/work environments to create meaningful therapy plans
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on daily living skills and independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care and ensure continuity
• Document progress clearly and promptly, ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic strategies, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs
• Adapt interventions based on patient response and clinical best practices to maximize outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license in California (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Minimum clinical experience in occupational therapy preferred (often 1+ year for travel roles)
• Must be able to pass background checks and required facility onboarding
• Comfortable working in fast-paced settings with varied patient needs

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD) required or equivalent clinical credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in occupational therapy assessments and functional goal-setting
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with clinical charting systems
• Excellent communication and patient/family education abilities
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting, cognitive and physical intervention techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams and adapt to changing caseloads
