Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions with a focus on hand therapy to help patients regain function and independence
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
• Fabricate and fit splints and adaptive devices to support recovery and daily living activities
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC to support continuity and quality of care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team — nurses, physicians, PTs and other allied staff — to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive strategies and injury prevention

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license (must be able to submit license)
• Hand therapy training or specialty experience — applicants should be hand therapists
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (as noted in the posting)
• Experience working in acute care settings preferred
• Charting experience with EPIC is highly desirable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hand therapy assessment and intervention skills, including splinting
• Familiarity with acute care workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Proficient documentation skills, especially within EPIC
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time across varying shift lengths
