Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate Signa Artist 1.5T MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform patient screening and ensure MRI safety for all patients and staff
• Document exams accurately using Meditech and Centricity PACS systems
• Collaborate with radiology team members to coordinate patient flow and care
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule to support department needs
• Maintain equipment and report any issues to biomedical engineering or leadership

Qualifications

• Valid MRI license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience preferred
• Proficiency with Meditech and Centricity PACs or similar documentation/PACS systems
• Experience with Signa Artist 1.5T or comparable MRI platforms
• Willingness to work required uniform (black scrubs) and travel assignment expectations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and patient screening
• Skill in positioning patients and optimizing scan protocols for diagnostic quality
• Familiarity with PACS workflows and electronic documentation (Meditech, Centricity)
• Clear patient communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to troubleshoot basic scanner/equipment issues and escalate as needed
• Team-oriented mindset for effective collaboration during rotations and on-call coverage
