Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, promoting comfort and enhancing quality of life
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants, offering coaching and training on proper nursing techniques
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely according to each resident's plan of care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care
Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and safety standards
Uphold the facility's Choices Philosophy of Care, treating every resident with dignity and respect

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current BLS (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association required
At least 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care preferred
New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical leadership skills
Ability to coach and educate nursing staff
Commitment to safety and infection control practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Dedication to resident dignity and person-centered care
