Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and routine assessments for residents
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor patients’ conditions and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Support care plans by documenting progress, interventions, and outcomes
• Assist with wound care, ADLs, and other nursing procedures within LPN scope
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver person-centered care
• Coach and educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or vocational nursing diploma
• Eligibility for or possession of New Mexico LPN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable with night-shift responsibilities and working independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and patient-focused
• Travel LPN experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program (LPN/LVN)
• Current LPN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Patient assessment, vital signs, and basic clinical interventions
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and chart management
• Wound care, infection control, and safe patient handling
• Time management, prioritization, and critical thinking during night shift
• Professional communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
