Roles & Responsibilities

• Train and support users of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ancillary clinical systems using classroom, one-on-one, remote shadowing, web conferencing, and live video
• Configure, optimize, and maintain clinical content (labs, radiology, meds, immunizations, codes) in collaboration with medical staff
• Develop clear, effective training materials and deliver engaging education across the organization
• Triage user issues and coordinate resolution with Help Desk, IT staff, coders, clinical SMEs, and vendors
• Continuously assess clinical decision support and recommend improvements aligned with best practices
• Evaluate and align clinical processes across SEARHC clinics to improve care consistency and efficiency
• Collaborate closely with IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams during implementations and upgrades
• Provide onsite and remote support during go-lives and major projects, working outside regular hours when needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (Alaska license required; direct hire must have applied before start; agency staff must have active Alaska license)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a medical setting (clinical experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience with clinical information systems
• Minimum 1 year experience with computer technology (programming, installation, reporting, or hardware/network experience)
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for experience on a year-by-year basis
• Teaching or training experience preferred
• Experience with inpatient clinical workflows, hospital/clinic accreditation processes, and HL7 messaging preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of clinical information systems and IT systems
• Familiarity with scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems
• Understanding of medical standards of care in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with diverse stakeholders
• Proven problem-solving skills and sound clinical judgment
• Ability to prioritize, work independently, and collaborate across multiple sites
• Comfort with travel and flexible hours to support implementations
