Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 24

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
Offer counseling and comfort during end-of-life transitions
Conduct spiritual assessments and develop care plans
Facilitate grief and bereavement support for families
Honor diverse spiritual and cultural beliefs with compassion

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
Ordained, commissioned, licensed, or endorsed by a pastoral/spiritual community
Experience or training in pastoral/spiritual care (e.g., CPE, Stephen's Ministry)
Valid driver's license and auto insurance for travel between patient locations
Two years of experience as a chaplain or related role if holding an Associate's degree
Master's degree preferred

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Master's degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in pastoral counseling and spiritual care
Understanding of hospice philosophy and end-of-life issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse beliefs
Proficiency in electronic medical records (Point Click experience a plus)
