Shift Type: Per diem; schedule varies (shifts as needed)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and prioritize patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency environment
Stabilize and initiate life-saving interventions using BLS/ACLS/PALS algorithms
Perform trauma-focused assessments and apply TNCC principles when required
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and complete required competency checklists
Participate in required testing and respirator/fit evaluations to ensure personal and patient safety

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Connecticut (license verification required)
Current BLS certification (required)
Current ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
TNCC certification (required or willing to obtain)
Completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, TB test or IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, flu)
Ability to pass Trinity 10 panel drug screen and respirator fit testing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
Proficiency with ACLS/PALS algorithms and resuscitation procedures
Trauma recognition and initial management skills aligned with TNCC
Excellent critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
Clear communication and teamwork in a high-acuity setting
Comfort with competency-based testing and skills validation processes
