Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures using prescribed techniques, adjusting equipment settings for optimal imaging
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, position patients, and arrange immobilization and support devices
• Administer contrast materials and assist with patient prep as needed
• Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance of imaging equipment
• Conduct quality control tasks and maintain QC reports for performed procedures
• Handle general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and filing when required
• Respond to call assignments and provide reliable coverage as needed
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification required with a minimum of 6 months CT experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI certification preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area

Education

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved program (required)

• Image acquisition and equipment operation for CT and radiography
• Patient positioning and immobilization techniques
• Radiation safety and radiation protection techniques
• Quality control and basic equipment maintenance
• Contrast administration and monitoring
• Scheduling and general clerical duties related to imaging services
