Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor resident condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support a safe, clean and respectful environment for residents
- Assist with mobility, transfers and personal care while preserving dignity
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Participate in team huddles and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential valid in Connecticut
- Comfortable working in a long term care or assisted living setting
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care
Education
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic resident care and infection control practices
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and ambulation
- Accurate documentation and observation skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Empathy, patience and strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with facility policies and resident rights
