Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes to nursing staff
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe use of patient equipment
• Ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the care team
• Follow infection control policies and facility procedures to protect patients

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification required
• Certified in CPR (BLS) or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Prior experience in long term care or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Up to date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to work travel contract dates and provide reliable coverage

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Time management during busy 12+ hour shifts
• Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Attention to detail for charting and care plans
