Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and help patients feel safe and respected
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Support patient mobility and transfers using safe body mechanics
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Ability to work per diem schedule including 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Previous CNA experience preferred but enthusiastic newcomers with certification are welcome
CPR/BLS certification preferred if available

Education

State CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of direct patient care and safe transfer techniques
Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and safety practices
Clear verbal and written communication for handoffs and charting
Teamwork and time management in a fast-paced care setting
