Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to maintain resident dignity and comfort
Support a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Document resident care clearly and timely in electronic or paper records
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings
Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy (e.g., TB screening, flu as required)
Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
State-approved CNA training program completion and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills specific to long-term or post-acute settings
Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
Clear communication and teamwork to coordinate resident care
Basic charting and documentation skills
Understanding of infection control, resident safety, and dignity-focused care
