Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record patient vitals and observe changes in condition, reporting concerns promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning while using proper body mechanics
• Support nursing staff with treatments, documentation, and timely communication
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for each resident
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico (required)
• CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Ability to work overnight shifts and a flexible per-diem schedule
• Pass a background check and drug screening per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team attitude
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and basic patient care tasks

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs, bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Familiarity with patient safety procedures and fall prevention
• Accurate charting and dependable time management
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with residents
