Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, and toileting while maintaining patient dignity
• Document care accurately and promptly in the patient chart

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state of practice required)
• Ability to work overnight shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on a per diem basis
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Clean background check and ability to meet facility health/immunization requirements
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Skill in taking and reporting accurate vital signs
• Basic infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Good observation skills to notice changes in condition
• Teamwork and clear documentation habits
• Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
