Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings using sound clinical judgment
• Develop individualized treatment plans that improve functional abilities and independence
• Deliver patient-centered care that emphasizes compassion, dignity, and measurable outcomes
• Document assessments, plans, and progress thoroughly and accurately in the EMR
• Manage a diverse caseload independently while prioritizing patient safety and rehabilitation goals
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with California OT regulatory requirements and facility policies
• Engage in continuous professional learning to keep skills current and evidence-based

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• 2–3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and basic computer skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and continuous professional development

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (accredited program required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning
• Patient functional assessment and goal-setting
• EMR documentation and charting best practices
• Caseload management and clinical prioritization
• Clinical judgment in acute, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing contexts
• BLS and basic life support procedures
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and compassionate patient care

• Full-time sign-on bonus: $10,000
• Part-time sign-on bonus: $5,000
