Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams using Hologic 3D equipment
• Position patients accurately and apply best practices to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient comfort
• Manage a busy daily caseload (approximately 150 exams) efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Document exams and patient care thoroughly in the electronic charting system (Epic preferred)
• Float to different departments within the main campus as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and facility vaccination guidelines (flu vaccine required per facility)
• Support patient education and answer questions with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

• California Mammography Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• ARRT(R) – required; ARRT(M) preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years mammography experience preferred (notes indicate 1.5 years clinical pass acceptable for screening roles)
• Comfortable operating Hologic 3D equipment and performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms
• Ability to float across departments and adapt to schedule/hours variations

Knowledge & Skills

• 3-D mammography (Hologic 3D) operation and image acquisition
• Screening and diagnostic mammography techniques and positioning
• Strong patient-centered communication and comfort management
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems (Epic preferred)
• Radiation safety and QA/QC processes for mammography
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality
• Teamwork across clinical departments and flexibility to float
