Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to preserve dignity and independence
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Document care thoroughly and timely in the resident chart, ensuring continuity and safety
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Observe, communicate, and escalate clinical or behavioral changes to licensed staff
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care partners to deliver a coordinated care experience

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (WV certification preferred or eligible)
• Comfortable working 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM day shifts as scheduled for the assignment
• Ability to provide compassionate hands-on care and follow facility policies and protocols
• Willingness to complete required facility onboarding, background check, and health screenings

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, transfers, and personal care
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, observation, and accurate documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork to coordinate resident care
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Infection control practices and attention to safety
