Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and maintain a sterile field during a broad range of IR procedures, including neuro/stroke and body interventions
• Support imaging and documentation using PACS and hospital charting systems during cases
• Administer contrast and assist with biopsies, drainages, venous access and vascular studies
• Operate and assist with Siemens and Phillips imaging equipment confidently
• Participate in primary and backup on-call rotations for weekends and evenings/nights
• Complete orientation week training and attend required classes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment to deliver excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year scrub experience with Neuro and Stroke interventions in IR (HARD STOP)
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• ARRT registration required and BLS certification required
• ARRT Advanced certification preferred
• Experience with Siemens and Phillips fluoroscopy/x-ray equipment required
• PACS experience and contrast administration experience required
• Epic and McKesson experience preferred
• Comfort working in inpatient hospital settings, including OR, ER and level I trauma environments preferred

Education

• ARRT certification required and BLS required
• ARRT Advanced certification preferred
• No specific academic degree stated

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional Radiology procedures: stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals
• Neuro / stroke interventions and neurological IR studies
• Venous access, central line and port management, PICC care
• Biopsies, drainages, abdominal/pelvic and genitourinary procedures
• Vascular interventions including carotid stenting, TIPS, dialysis graft procedures
• PACS imaging workflows and contrast administration protocols
• Familiarity with Siemens and Phillips imaging systems; Acuson ultrasound preferred
