Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in resident condition
• Support safe transfers and mobility with proper techniques and assistive devices
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate concerns to the nursing team
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect residents
• Build positive relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification valid for practice in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and patience
• Comfortable working scheduled weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) and extended day shifts
• Pass required background checks, TB screening, and facility immunization requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, transfers, and mobility support
• Proficient in basic clinical tasks such as taking vitals and observing changes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within interdisciplinary care teams
• Comfortable with resident documentation and following care plans
• Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and dignity-focused care

This is a travel position located in Rio Rancho, just northwest of Albuquerque.
