Shift Type: Days, Full Time (specific start/end times not provided) - daytime schedule; travel to regional sites required (via jet, small plane, or ferry)
Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation

Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, and update the SEARHC Infection Prevention and Control Program to meet CDC, CMS, OSHA, FDA, TJC, and APIC standards
- Collect, trend, analyze, and report infection control data and statistical reports, including NHSN and other regulatory reporting
- Translate regulatory requirements and evidence-based practices into policies, procedures, and practical staff education
- Design and deliver infection prevention education and training for staff, patients, families, and communities
- Chair the Infection Prevention Committee and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the consortium
- Oversee the Employee Health program and ensure timely reporting of infection prevention outcomes
- Supervise and mentor staff, and evaluate program effectiveness through performance improvement activities
- Travel to regional sites to assess, educate, and support local teams
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state required (Direct hire must have applied for Alaska license before start; agency staff must have an active Alaska license)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, microbiology, or a related health-care field required
- Master's degree (MPH, MSN) preferred
- Certification in Infection Control and Prevention (CIC) required
- BLS current within 3 months of hire and maintained biannually
- Minimum 3 years of acute care/infection control experience and/or data collection and performance improvement/risk management experience
- Clinical Competency and Manager Competency to be completed within 3 months of hire and refreshed per policy
Education
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, microbiology, or related field (required)
- Master's degree (MPH, MSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of epidemiology and infectious disease principles
- Experience with surveillance, NHSN reporting, and infection-related data trending
- Proficiency with MS Office and database applications for data collection and reporting
- Familiarity with CDC, CMS, OSHA, FDA, TJC, and APIC guidelines
- Skills in policy and procedure development, project management, and performance improvement
- Ability to synthesize regulatory requirements into practical policies and training
- Strong written and verbal communication across diverse, multicultural audiences
