Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cath lab rooms and GE imaging equipment for interventional cardiology procedures
• Assist the cardiac team during LHC, RHC, PCI, PPM, Impella and IABP cases with sterile technique and device support
• Operate and monitor mechanical circulatory support devices such as Impella and IABP and manage ventilator support when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and techs to ensure safe patient transport, prep, and recovery
• Accurately document procedures and patient data in Meditech EMR to support continuity of care
• Maintain inventory, troubleshoot equipment issues, and adhere to unit policies to promote smooth workflow

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• Demonstrated experience with Impella, IABP, and ventilator management
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and GE imaging equipment
• Comfort working independently and as part of a 3-person case team
• Preferred experience: vascular/peripheral intervention or electrophysiology (EP) exposure

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac cath lab procedures and workflow
• Interventional cardiology support including PCI and hemodynamic monitoring
• Operation of GE imaging equipment
• Meditech electronic medical record proficiency
• Mechanical circulatory support devices and ventilator familiarity
• Strong communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
