Shift Type: Monday through Friday, varied start times - 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts available

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in cardiovascular operating room procedures as a key member of the surgical team
Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases
Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure smooth and safe surgical operations
Handle surgical instruments with precision and anticipate surgeon needs during complex procedures
Participate in on-call rotations to support emergency surgeries after hours
Maintain a clean and organized OR environment adhering to strict infection control standards

Qualifications

Active Washington state license for Surgical Techs
BLS certification required
Robotics experience preferred but not required - willing to train
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
COVID-19 vaccination required
Willingness to float to Main OR as needed for vascular cases

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records system
Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Experience with Da Vinci XI robotic system preferred
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to varying case volumes (22-45 cases per day across specialties)
