Location: Colorado Springs, CO

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, self-scheduling with block scheduling, call rotation (1 weekday per month, 1 weekend per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a variety of complex surgical procedures including open heart, vascular, thoracic, neuro, spine, robotics, and ortho cases
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and equipment are ready
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage surgical supplies and anticipate needs during procedures
Participate in call rotation to provide coverage for emergencies
Float to general OR as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Must have current CO Dora certification
BLS certification required
CST certification required
At least 2 years of recent CVOR surgical tech experience with open heart and endovascular cases
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in open heart and endovascular procedures
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile technique
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing case schedules and floating requirements
