Surgical Tech - CST

Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts with one weeknight call per week until 7:00 AM next morning and three 24-hour weekend call shifts per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub independently for cranial procedures and neuro-trauma cases
Assist with total joint replacements and orthopedic trauma surgeries
Prepare and maintain sterile fields across a variety of specialties including urology, ENT, and general OR cases
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure smooth case flow
Respond promptly to 15-minute call requirements while maintaining high standards of patient safety
Adapt quickly to new technologies and robotic-assisted procedures

Qualifications

Current CST certification preferred but not required
BLS certification required
Proven ability to scrub independently for cranial and neuro-trauma procedures
Strong orthopedic trauma and total joint experience
General OR background with comfort across multiple specialties
EPIC charting experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Expert scrubbing technique for complex cranial cases
Familiarity with DaVinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis systems
Ability to handle level II trauma and total joint procedures with confidence
Strong work ethic and willingness to speak up for patient safety
Flexibility to work 8s or 10s and take call as scheduled
