Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Complete patient documentation
- Contact insurance companies regarding benefits
- Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions
- Provide education to staff
- Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff
- Collaborate with healthcare providers
- Clean treatment rooms
- Provide reminder calls to patients
- Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital
Qualifications
- Masters degree in speech pathology from an accredited program
- Eligible for Speech-Language Pathologist license to practice in the state of WI
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Must maintain a valid, current driver's license
- Must maintain BLS certification
- 1+ years of related work experience
Education
- Professional degree in speech language pathology required
- Masters degree in speech pathology from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Intermediate proficiency with computers
- Strong assessment and planning skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
