Roles & Responsibilities

Screen disorders of speech to make a real difference in patient recovery
Diagnose and treat disorders of language, cognition, and swallowing with expertise
Provide professional consultations collaborating with top medical teams
Evaluate and treat adult swallowing, communication, and cognitive needs in a fast-paced acute care setting

Qualifications

Current Hawaii State license as a Speech Language Pathologist
Current ASHA certification
Current CPR BLS/HCP certification
Completion of FEES course (within 6 months if not upon hire)
Preferred: 1+ year acute care experience, FEES clinical experience, MBS ImP

Education

Advanced degree in Speech Language Pathology (implied by licensure and certification requirements)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in screening and diagnosing speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
Skilled in adult swallowing evaluation and treatment
Proficient in communication and cognitive evaluation and treatment
Familiar with FEES and MBS ImP procedures
