Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physicians as directed during a wide range of surgical procedures
- Serve as first assistant across ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and general surgery cases
- Scrub in and provide hands-on support for complex procedures including total joints, robotic hysterectomies, spine, and brain surgeries
- Float between campuses as needed to support patient care across the system
- Respond to call within 30 minutes to ensure continuous OR coverage
Qualifications
- Active RN license with RNFA certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN specialties
- Comfortable scrubbing and assisting in a fast-paced OR environment
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Robotics experience is a deal-breaker requirement
- Ability to handle a variety of cases from total joints to brain tumors
- Strong communication and teamwork in the operating room
- Flexibility to float between campuses and take call
- Comfort working with both open and minimally invasive techniques
