Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes
• Assess patient condition and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Respond to emergencies with calm, evidence-based interventions and escalate when necessary
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and sharing clinical insights

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact RN with California authorization)
• Telemetry experience preferred — comfortable interpreting cardiac rhythms and alarms
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Current Basic Life Support and any facility-required certifications
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently on per diem shifts
• Reliable professional references and a positive track record in acute care settings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Cardiac assessment and recognition of acute changes
• IV medication administration and titration familiarity
• Priority setting and time management in high-acuity situations
• Electronic medical record documentation and handoff communication
• Team collaboration and patient/family education skills
