Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and promptly report significant changes
• Assess, plan and deliver patient-centered nursing care for telemetry patients
• Administer medications and therapies safely, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize care
• Provide clear, timely documentation in the patient chart and handoffs
• Perform focused assessments, escalate concerns, and participate in care planning
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (able to practice in California)
• Telemetry experience preferred — comfortable with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts and cover per-diem assignments
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency interpreting cardiac rhythms and recognizing arrhythmias
• Familiarity with telemetry equipment and patient monitoring systems
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and acute patient assessment
• Clear verbal and written communication for team-based care
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
