Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality telemetry nursing care to patients on cardiac monitoring
• Continuously assess and interpret cardiac rhythms and escalate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan of care, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
• Demonstrate infection control and safety practices on every shift

Qualifications

• Current RN license in California (or compact RN eligible)
• Telemetry experience preferred; comfort with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous acute care or telemetry floor experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work nights and provide reliable per diem coverage
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry equipment
• Proficient with medication administration and bedside assessments
• Comfortable with EHR charting and electronic documentation
• Strong prioritization and time management during busy night shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education skills
