Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and mobility for patients with dignity and respect
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control protocols
- Communicate clearly with nurses, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in assigned systems
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently overnight
- Comfortable with lifting and assisting patients as part of safe patient handling
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Familiarity with basic infection prevention and safety practices
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting
