Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and support daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Report changes in patient condition to the nursing team and document observations
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Recent experience working in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) reliably
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Must be able to perform patient transfers and use safe body mechanics
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and hand hygiene practices
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Basic electronic or paper charting and reporting
