Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and notify the team of changes
Perform thorough assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and support staff for coordinated care
Document patient status and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families on condition, treatment and discharge goals
Respond calmly and effectively to urgent changes in patient condition

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted RN license in California
Clinical experience in telemetry or step-down units preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Comfortable interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to arrhythmias
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Vaccinations and health screening per facility policy

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Other relevant certifications encouraged (ACLS, PALS as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Strong bedside assessment and triage skills
Familiarity with common telemetry/step-down protocols and interventions
Proficient documentation in an electronic health record (EHR)
Teamwork, clinical judgment, and time management under pressure
