Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend rotations (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to a mixed medical-surgical, cardiac, and stroke patient population in a 28-bed PCU
Titrate drips including heparin, octreotide, insulin, and maintenance IV medications
Interpret telemetry and monitor for cardiac changes
Collaborate with charge nurse, techs, and unit secretary to ensure smooth patient flow
Handle high-volume admissions, transfers, and discharges with a positive team attitude
Float to med/surg and other areas of the hospital as needed, including ICU/ED for appropriate patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification required
Driver's license required (to verify radius rule)
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Experience with titrating cardiac drips
Comfortable with rapid admissions, transfers, and discharges
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to floating within the hospital
