Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekend rotations (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced PCU, managing a mix of medical, surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients
Titrate intravenous medications such as heparin, octreotide, and insulin
Interpret telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes
Float to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed based on hospital demands

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret telemetry
Willingness to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titration of critical drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Effective communication and teamwork in a high-volume unit
Adaptability to float across different units
Positive attitude and resilience
