Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and manage drips like heparin and cardizem
Monitor hemodynamic parameters including CVP and arterial lines
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support the team
Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU and oncology experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Chemotherapy certification preferred
EPIC experience required (or willingness to learn)
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Skilled in administering chemotherapy and managing oncology patients
Knowledge of PCU and med/surg nursing standards
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
