Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
Circulate in the OR for C-sections and assist with normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
Manage high-risk OB patients, including titrating drips like Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
Float to postpartum unit as needed, caring for both mothers and infants
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents, CRNAs, and OBTs to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Utilize EFM monitoring system (Obix) to track fetal and maternal status during labor

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
BLS and NRP certifications required
Ability to circulate in OR and perform normal newborn assessments
Driver's license required for radius rule verification
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation and use of Obix system
Experience with high-risk OB patients and titratable drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility and willingness to float to postpartum or sitter duty as needed
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
