Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 4 shifts per week including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between 24-bed ICU and 26-bed PCU, providing critical care to a diverse patient population
Titrate and manage IV drips such as Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, propofol, and more
Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, and RTs to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status promptly
Serve as a resource for PCU staff, assisting with complex cases and admissions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience
Ability to independently titrate drips and manage ventilated patients
Comfortable floating between ICU and stepdown units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure management
Proficiency with ventilators, BiPAP, and Airvo devices
Strong telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation skills
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
