Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the fast-paced emergency setting with initiative and flexibility
Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately based on physical, psychosocial needs, and patient flow
Communicate effectively with ER physicians, mid-level providers, patients, families, and the team about status changes and diagnostics
Respond quickly to patient condition changes or treatment responses
Provide direction to emergency techs, registration staff, and allied health professionals

Qualifications

Current MT State RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC required or obtained within 6 months of hire
2 years ER experience required
Degree from an accredited nursing program

Education

Degree from an accredited nursing program required
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency Department nursing principles and procedures
IV skills
Assessment skills
Triage expertise
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to operate manual and electronic medical equipment
