Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care including assessment and treatment
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory support devices
Monitor patient status and document changes in condition clearly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
Deliver patient and family education on therapies and home care
Participate in orientation and training to maintain standards of care
Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for use

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) as required by state
State licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Missouri
BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred where applicable
Demonstrated experience with mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a collaborative care team
Willingness to participate in orientation and follow facility protocols

Education

Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy, or equivalent accredited program
Completion of a respiratory care program and eligible for state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment of cardiopulmonary status
Mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
Airway management techniques and therapies
Patient education and family communication
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Infection control and equipment sterilization procedures
