Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and treatments to patients in need
Assess patient respiratory status and develop appropriate care plans
Administer ventilator management and respiratory therapies safely and effectively
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
Document interventions accurately and communicate changes in patient condition
Participate in patient and family education to support recovery and self-care
Support unit operations during orientation and onboarding activities

Qualifications

Current WA state Respiratory Care Practitioner license or eligibility
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
Comfortable with ventilators, oxygen therapy, airway management and aerosol treatments
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Preferred: 1+ years of clinical Respiratory Therapy experience

Education

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or healthcare-related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment of respiratory function and familiarity with ABG interpretation
Mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
Knowledge of respiratory equipment, modalities, and infection control practices
Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced acute care settings
Strong documentation and electronic charting skills
