Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding quickly to changes
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document patient status accurately in the medical record
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders and protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams — physicians, techs, and other nurses — to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions with empathy and clarity
• Participate in handoffs and communicate critical information during shift changes to maintain continuity of care
• Respond to emergencies and assist with rapid interventions when needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in California (or compact RN licensure if applicable)
• Telemetry nursing experience or comfort interpreting cardiac rhythms
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Minimum clinical experience in acute-care or telemetry settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred or equivalent clinical experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Patient assessment and clinical documentation in EHR systems
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Critical thinking, triage, and rapid response skills
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and teams
