Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients awaiting placement from the emergency department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Support med/surg and overflow units as needed while floating between campuses
Assist with ED tasks like vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when requested

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of strong cardiac telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and SIM lab on day one of orientation
Comfortable floating between campuses and units as census requires

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Dysrhythmia recognition and response
Titration of cardiac medications
Patient assessment and prioritization
Clear communication with physicians and care teams
