Registered Nurse - Surgical Day Care
Location: Gardner, MA
Start Date: 04-23-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 24-Hours, Day/Evening, (3) 8 hour shifts, On call per rotation on weeknights/weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and plan patient care
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions
- Provide patient education and discharge planning
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy
- Perform pre-admission testing and preoperative assessments
Qualifications
- Current MA License as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum one year acute care nursing experience
- ACLS, PALS, and IV certifications required
- Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion and nursing assessment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Communication and prioritization skills
- Time management and documentation skills
- Nursing and patient care skills
- Medication administration and preoperative testing skills
