Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate nursing care across PCU, Medical/Surgical and Telemetry specialties
• Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and focused assessments each shift to detect changes early
• Monitor cardiac rhythms closely and recognize dysrhythmias, acting quickly and appropriately
• Administer and manage IV drips (insulin, heparin, diltiazem) per unit protocols
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members to support rehabilitation and acute needs
• Conduct hourly rounding, pain assessments and safety checks to improve patient outcomes
• Manage admissions and transitions of care, maintaining clear documentation and communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years experience in PCU, Medical/Surgical and Telemetry (required)
• Basic dysrhythmia test completed and documented in profile (required)
• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact multistate RN (must be uploaded)
• Current American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Current American Heart Association ACLS (required)
• Comfortable working independently in a small, rural facility and able to 'hit the ground running'
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile; facility will NOT consider candidates who reside within 50 miles of the facility

Education

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) workflows and acuity management
• Medical/Surgical nursing fundamentals and rehab support
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• ACLS/BLS protocols and emergency response
• Medication administration including IV drips (insulin, heparin, diltiazem)
• Strong assessment, documentation and patient safety practices
• Ability to work independently in a small, rural hospital setting
