Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to same-level PCU and MedSurg units to support patient care across the facility
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medications with precision
Support patients and families through diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care with empathy

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in PCU and oncology settings
Experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz)
Comfortable floating between PCU and MedSurg units
Proficient with Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
