Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to a diverse PCU/IMC patient population across multiple facilities in Zone 1
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin with confidence
• Float seamlessly between units and facilities, adapting to varying patient acuities and specialties
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, safe patient outcomes
• Mentor and support less experienced staff while maintaining your own patient assignment
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC nursing experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin titration
• Comfortable floating across multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius
• Epic experience preferred, neuro experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation skills
• Proficiency in managing common titratable drips: dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amiodarone
• Ability to care for patients with cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, and post-surgical conditions
• Excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced float pool environment
• Time management and prioritization skills to handle 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratios
